This fruit has a hard cactus like exterior but it is easy to cut through. Once it has been cut into, it is white or pinkDragonfruit in color with small black seeds. The texture is somewhat similar to that of a banana. Dragonfruit has a very mild sweet taste to it and is not full of flavor and it’s not juicy like a pineapple but it does have a nice refreshing taste in my opinion.

To enjoy this fruit with additional flavor pair it with pineapple as it will provide a great balance. Pineapple is very sweet and can tend to be higher in sugar. Dragonfruit is less sweet and therefore helps regulate and stabilize blood sugar so it will reduce the sugar spike that the pineapple has the potential to give.
