Making Beets Tasty

Beets are a superfood often overlooked. A lot of people have a difficult time finding this little earthy vegetable mouth watering. I have created a couple tasty juice & smoothie recipes with Beets in them. This helps those of us who would like to take advantage of the benefits Beets provide but are not able to quite stomach them by themselves.

Many ways to cook Beets

There are many ways to cook/prepare Beets some of which are more enjoyable if you already like them, but if Beets are not one of your favorite foods I have a juice recipe and a smoothie recipe where you won’t be able to taste the Beets in them.

Instructions

  1. Cut the lemon in half, cut the pear as you do not want to put the core in the juicer. Cut the cabbage into 2-3 smaller pieces. Cut the Beetroot into 4 pieces. Add the cabbage, lemon, pears, celery and beetroot into the juicer. Once completed pour juice into a blender and add the raspberries. Raspberries do not juice as well as the other ingredients.  Pour over ice and enjoy.

Cooked Beets

Beets can also be enjoyed cooked. Beets can be added in a salad, sauteed with spinach and beet greens, cooked in the air fryer, or roasted in the oven to name a few.
